Lies and the Lying Lyars Who Tell Them

I have just finished reading this Al Franken book and frankly, I loved it. It's about time someone has taken the time to find out facts on President Bush's presidency. This book really comes out and hits the truth no mater how ugly it may be.

Al talks about WMD's, Homeland Security, Patriotism, Bush's Tax "Cuts", the Environment, and also tells the truth about people like Bill O'Rielly and Sean Hannity. He uses humor but also hammers home the real points. So many of us Americans are being lied to on a regular basis, from the people that we trust in our governent, that it is downright horrifying.

This book is a must read!

Company Man

I had never heard of Joseph Finder before I read this book, but I know who he is now and will be keeping my eye out for more of his books. Company Man is an excellent read.

This book is a heart stopping thriller about ambition, betrayal, and the price of secrets. It is about one man's journey through a maze of loss, lonliness, family, love, work, friends, and betrayal by all.

This book is a must read!

Broken Prey

This book is another Lucas Davenport thriller. It is a fairly engaging read as anyone who knows John Sandford and the Lucas Davenport character will know. It is a real who done it with nonstop tension.

Broken Prey - the 1st body is that of a young woman, found on a Minnesota riverbank, throat cut, body scourged and put on diplay. Whoever did this, Lucas Davenport knows, is pushed by brain chemistry, there is something definitely wrong. This isnt just a bad love affair.

The 2nd body is found 3 weeks later, in a farmhouse nearby. Same conditions and display, except this time it is a man. Nothing links the 2 victims, nothing to indicate the killings will stop.

This book is an okay read!

Camel Club

This book is a terrrific read that features plot twists and cat and mouse chases, as well as a stunning grand finale.

This book is pretty sweet. Tanenbaum ratchets up the suspense with a fast paced, suspensful, morally complex legal thriller that opens with a bang.

Enemy Within - New York city erupts in chaos when a black man is shot in the back by fellow NYPD street cop "Golden Boy". Chief Assistant DA Butch Karp soon discovers, certain higher ups in the department want to "whitewash" the truth.

To make matters worse, a serial killer is on the loose, stalking prey near where Karp's daughter Lucy, is helping the homeless. Desperate to stop the violence before it finds his family, Karp must wade through a corrupt system and conspiracy that threatens to silence him.

Creepers

This book is awesome despite the crappy title. This book is about urban spelunking, which is when you break into abadonded buildings to invetigate their dying secrets. You never know what you will find.

Creepers has a nonstop cascade of ingeniously contrived dangers and assaults, culminating in an apocalyptic finale, it has an intense emotional effect that will leave you drained.

This book is a must read!

Memoirs of a Geisha

This book is part historical novel and part fairy tale. It takes readers into a world where apperances are paramount; where a girl's virginity is auctioned at the highest bid; where women are trained to beguile powerful men; and where love is scorned as an illusion.

This book is also a movie. Believe me, the movie which is alright, seriously sucks when compared to the book itself. You cannot possibly capture the subtlties in this book with film.

This book is a must read!

This book has been compared to the Da Vinci Code, but that is not fair to James Rollins who has done his own research to write his own book. In verey way, this books beats Dan Brown's. This book is good, real good.

This books is a must read for any historical/thrillers/fiction.

IF I Should Die

This book is acutally very good even though Judith Kellerman wrote it. Everyone knows she is a terrible author.

If I should Die - DR. Maggie Lyons felt a chill when she heard about the suicide and the accident of her two patients. The authorties believed she was to blame, unless someone had murdered them. Someone who knew Maggies' weakness, someone waiting for her in the darkness, someone waiting to unleash fear. Fear that kills. This book is about fear, and fear alone.

This book is a must read!

Smokescreen

This book is freaking sweet. I didnt think I would like it just by the looks and the name, Smoke Screen, but I was wrong.

Smoke Screen starts out with a character who is the grandson of a big tabacco industry person. He pretty much lets his family's fortune, business, and work push him around and he doesn't like it. He starts to fight back a little and crazy shit starts happening to him.

This book is classified in the thriller version but it's more of a cross between mystery, phsychological fun, and some comedy. It really is a good book. Kyle Mills does an excellent job!

Tell No One

Now, I know I say every book is awsome but No BS, Tell No One by Harlan Coben is the shit. I dont know if I read this guy before or if his name is just similar to others but this dude knows how to tell a story. This is probably the best book I've read in awhile.

Tell No One is about this guy who loses his wife, only to find out 8 years later that she may not be dead after all. He doesn't know what to do so he starts trying to figure out the mystery and nutty ass shit starts to happen all around him. He is forced to toughen up and deal with it. Everybody has secrets that they will kill to keep.

When I started reading this book I couldn't stop. I read it in about 8 hours staying up all night. Hopefully I find some more of this Harlan Coben.

Definitely scoop up this book.

4th of July

This is the 4th book in a series by Patterson featuring San Francisco Police Detective Lindsay Boxer of the Women's Murder Club. Lindsay gets herself into trouble and sets off a dramatic chain of events that leaves a police force disgraced, a family destroyed, and lindsay herself at the mercy of 12 jurors.

It is a typical Patterson novel with heoric sleuthing, mesmerizing action, and a grandiose finish. I you like other novels by James Patterson you are sure to love this one.

The Quickie

The Quickie by James Patterson is a great book to read. I didnt want to read it at first because he wrote it with some other dude and the excerpt made it seem like a romance novel or some gay shit, but I was wrong.

The Quickie is about a married couple that fall atsray mistakenly and from, then on it's just ridiculously James Patterson style all the way. Crazy shit happen fast and their lives begin to turn upside down.

This book is a fairly short read. I read it in 2 nights, about 5 hours only but you definitely won.t want to put this book down.

I Also bought this book for my mother on Christmas.

Step On A Crack

I just rented this book from the library and I am glad I did. Excellent read! It's been a while since I read a book by James Patterson and I was not disappointed.

The nation has fallen into mourning after the death of the bloved first lady. The most powerful people in the world gather in NY for the funeral - then the inconcievable happens. Maximum Ride

Maximum Ride is James Patterson's new book. I believe they are going to make it into a series. This book is based on characters from When the Wind Blows and The Lake House, but not the exact same characters and not the same story.

So if you have read those 2 other books and enjoyed them you will probably like this book also. Or if you are just a Patterson fan, you may enjoy this book.

I personally do not like sci fi books at all and this one borders on it but is still a great story and not too scifi ish.

This book is a must read.
